About

What's your story?

I am a former player (2000-2008) that had a few cups of coffee in the big leagues winning a World Series ring in 2005 with the Chicago White Sox. I am going into my 14th year as a Minor League Pitching Coach with the Arizona Diamondbacks. I have been with the Reno Aces (Triple-A) for 5 years nows and love what I do. In my offseason I'm available for both pitching and hitting lessons from October through mid-February in the DFW area and also available all year for online video analysis, evaluations, and remote training.

I received my degree from the University of Oklahoma in Criminal Science and was a 1st Team All-American as a Utility Player (OF/P) hitting .342 with 11 HR and 20 saves on the mound. That is why I continue to offer BOTH pitching and hitting lessons.  Although my specialty is pitching I've been a hitter my whole life and I've learned from some of the best in the game both collegiately and professionally.

I have known both success and failure and I think it's important to experience both.  A doctor told me at the age of 15 that I would never pitch again and I had zero college offers out of high school.  However, I used that as fuel to motivate me throughout my career eventually earning a full scholarship and a World Series ring.

As a coach my aim is to pour into each player that I work with regardless of size or skill and give them the attention they need both physically and mentally. I look to give them a vision of what they can be in the future and help them get there. My aim is to not only make them better at baseball, but to also instill in them a confidence and a belief for on and off the field success. I realize that everyone learns differently so I love having any information that you think would help me teach your child. If you're looking for private instruction from a professional, I would love to work with you and your child to achieve their future goals in this great game of baseball.
